Your Weekly AI Intelligence Briefing — Week of March 31, 2026

Welcome to Clarity in an AI Saturated World — a weekly briefing from Matt Goldman and Creative Authority designed to do one thing: cut through the noise.
Every week brings a new wave of AI headlines, model releases, and bold predictions. This newsletter is here to make sense of them. It's written for real estate professionals who want to understand what's actually happening in AI — and what it means for how you work, how you communicate, and how you stay distinctly yourself in a world that's rapidly starting to sound the same.
No fluff. No fear. Just the stories that matter, and a clear-eyed look at what they mean for your business.

1. OpenAI Killed Sora — And Gave Disney Less Than an Hour's Notice

Disney had committed $1 billion to the partnership, yet found out Sora was being shut down less than an hour before the public announcement. The deal died with it. Six months after launch, OpenAI pulled the plug and redirected compute toward coding, reasoning, and agentic AI.

2. Why OpenAI Really Shut Down Sora: Claude Was Eating Their Lunch

While OpenAI struggled to enhance Sora's performance, competitor Anthropic gained traction, particularly with Claude Code, appealing to software engineers and enterprises. CEO Sam Altman decided to terminate Sora to conserve resources and redirect the company's focus. Video was expensive. Enterprise is profitable. The math wasn't hard.

3. Anthropic's Most Powerful Model Leaked — And They're Too Afraid to Ship It

Anthropic's next-generation Mythos model was accidentally leaked after a CMS misconfiguration exposed internal files. A draft blog post describes Mythos as "by far the most powerful AI model we have ever developed," representing a "step change" in capabilities over Claude Opus 4.6. Anthropic confirmed it exists — and confirmed they won't release it, citing dangerous cybersecurity capabilities.

4. You Can Now Buy Things Inside ChatGPT, Gemini, and Copilot

Shopify merchants can now sell directly inside ChatGPT, Google's AI Mode, Microsoft Copilot, and the Gemini app through what the company calls Agentic Storefronts. Pricing, checkout, and inventory all stay synced from the Shopify admin, and merchants don't pay anything beyond standard processing rates. Commerce just moved into the conversation window.

5. Google's Search Algorithm Update Is Rewriting Your Listing Headlines — Without Asking

Google's March 2026 core update is rolling out alongside AI-generated title links, meaning Google now rewrites how your pages appear in search results. If you have a Kajabi page, a website, or any public-facing content — your headline in Google search may no longer be yours.

The Week in AI — Through the Lens of Authorship

Sora is gone. Mythos is locked in a vault. And somewhere this week, a Shopify store started selling inside a chat window without a human touching anything.

This was not a normal news week. It was a week where the industry showed its hand.

What OpenAI did with Sora tells you something important about where AI is actually going. They had the flashiest consumer product in the space — video generation, Hollywood partnerships, a billion-dollar Disney deal. And they killed it. Not because it didn't work. Because it didn't matter enough. The compute was going somewhere more valuable: enterprise tools, coding agents, recurring revenue. The lesson for anyone watching is this — the AI tools that survive are the ones that make skilled professionals more capable, not the ones that make content faster. That distinction is going to matter a lot in real estate over the next two years.

The Mythos story is a different kind of indicator. Anthropic built a model and decided not to release it. That has never happened at this scale before. What it tells you is that the capability curve is not slowing down — it's accelerating past the point where the companies building these tools feel comfortable handing them out. Most agents interacting with AI right now are working with tools that are, by the industry's own admission, far from the frontier of what exists.

The gap between what's available and what's been built is wider than it has ever been.

Here's what both stories have in common: the humans in the room still made the call. Sam Altman decided to pull the plug on Sora. Dario Amodei decided not to ship Mythos. Those were judgment calls — shaped by values, strategy, and a read on what the moment required. No model made those decisions. And that's the whole point. The tools keep getting more powerful. The judgment of the person holding them keeps mattering more, not less.

For you, as an agent, the version of this is simpler but just as real. The AI in your hands right now is already capable of doing a lot of your work.

The question isn't whether to use it. The question is whether the work it produces still sounds like you, still reflects your standards, and still builds the kind of trust that brings clients back.

That's not a technology question. That's an authorship question. And it's the only one that really matters.
